The Most References
The book of Revelation has 278 references to the Old Testament, the most of any New Testament book. It also references the most Old Testament books at 32. The gospel of Luke is second as it references 31 books.
The Longest
The longest single verse in the King James New Testament is Revelation 20:4.
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast,
neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years (Revelation 20:4, KJV).
The English word "Alleluia," used in some Christian hymns, is found only in the book of Revelation (Rev. 19:1, 3, 4, 6). It is derived from a word that is the Greek version of the Hebrew exclamation "Hallelujah!"
The Perfect Number Seven
The most common number, by far, recorded in Revelation is the number 7. Its use is followed by the number 4, found 19 times, then the numbers 3, 10 and 12 all of which are recorded 9 times.
The book of Revelation lists seven new things that will take place after the millennial reign of Jesus Christ. They are the new heaven and new earth (Revelation 21:1 - 2), new peoples (verses 3 - 8), the new Jerusalem (verses 9 - 21), the new temple (verse 22), the new light (verses 23 - 27) and finally a new paradise with its water of life (22:1 - 7).
Death and Life
Revelation talks quite a bit about the trials, destruction and death coming to the world in the end time. The book, however, also speaks of life. In fact, the English word "life" is recorded 17 times in the King James version of the book.
Those who are called and remain faithful until the end will have their names written in the book of life (Revelation 3:5, 20:12, 15, 21:27, 22:19). Additionally, those who overcome will receive the privilege of eating from the tree of life (Rev. 2:7, 22:2, 14) and drinking the water of life freely (21:6, 22:1, 17).
[Why Does God Need a Book of Life?]
Lastly, all those who endure trials and temptation for the sake of obeying God will be resurrected and given a wonderful crown of life (Revelation 2:10)!
The Colors of Prophecy
The colors black, white, red and even pale green have their own role to play in end time prophecy.
Revelation's third of four horsemen rides a black horse which symbolizes hunger and death from starvation (Revelation 6:5 - 6). When the prophetic sixth seal is opened it will cause the sun to appear as black as sackcloth (verse 12).
[Who Are Revelation's Four Horsemen?]
The first of the four horsemen rides a white horse which symbolizes religious deception and lies promoted on the grandest scale humans have ever experienced (Revelation 6:2). White, however, usually represents God's righteousness (3:4 - 5, 18, 4:4, 6:11, etc.).
[Symbolism of the Color White]
A red horse is ridden by the second horseman of the apocalypse. The animal's color represents war and the death that comes when people fight each other (Revelation 6:4). Satan the devil is symbolized by a red dragon with the color representing sin and a dragon used as a symbol of zealous and ferocious violence (12:3).
The fourth of the prophetic four horsemen rides a horse that is actually pale green or greenish in color. The rider of the horse is death, the only one so named (Revelation 6:8). This color symbolizes death, as people with lighter skin usually appear pale (greenish) within 15 to 25 minutes after life ends.
Martyrs
One of the individuals named as a martyr in the Bible is found in Revelation. The man, Antipas, was murdered while serving in Pergamos.
I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth (Revelation 2:13, KJV).
The biggest number denoted in Scripture is the 200 million strong army that will be allowed to kill one third of all humans (Revelation 9:14 - 18).

Angelic Rejoicing
One of the three Biblical times angels are recorded at rejoicing over an event is found in Revelation.
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night . . .
Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them . . . (Revelation 12:10, 12, KJV).
The Animals of Revelation
Which animals are recorded in the prophetic book of Revelation?
The animals in Revelation include "beasts" (Revelation 11:7, 13:1 - 4, etc.), mythical dragons (12:3 - 17, 13:2, 4, 11, 16:13, 20:2), frogs (16:13), horses (6:2 - 8, 9:7, 9, 16 - 17, etc.) and lions (4:7, 5:5, 9:8, etc.). This prophetic book also lists a calf and an eagle (4:7).
